Gratitude Expressed: Hussain Welcomes Chinese Interest in Oil and Gas
Dr Asim Hussain, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources, has welcomed the interest shown by Chinese companies working in the oil and gas sector in Pakistan.
During a meeting with Li Zaisheng, Vice President of Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation of China, he informed the delegation that Pakistan’s need to meet energy requirements was urgent, and the completion of mega gas projects including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India and Iran-Pakistan pipelines was its priority.
Moreover, he added, the government was also working on the establishment of LPG stations across the country and import of LNG for the power sector. Hussain invited Sinopec to invest in other energy projects and said that the government will extend full support to the company.
